Linda Ronstadt
Linda Ronstadt conocida también por el sobrenombre de La Reina del Rock o la Primera Dama del Rock (Linda Susan Marie Ronstadt) nacida el 15 de julio de 1946 en Tucson, Arizona, es una cantante estadounidense, cercanamente asociada al género country y rock prevalente en la década de 1970; pero se la conoce mejor por interpretar canciones de otros autores.
Aunque comenzó su carrera de cantante grabando música folclórica con su banda The Stone Poneys, desde mediados y hasta el final de la década de 1960 ha sido acreditada como una artista solista, cantando diversos géneros, desde el más tradicional country al rhythm & blues, incluyendo entre otros new wave, ópera y mariachi. Su biografía de la página web Rolling Stone dice:
"No tiene éxito en cada estilo que prueba, pero eso no le ha impedido explorar nuevas avenidas... Echa un vistazo a sus grabaciones a trío con Emmylou Harris y Dolly Parton; son la escucha esencial para admiradores de todo tipo de música."
